This is my right drain. It was pulled out by my home nurse on Tuesday, June 3rd. It was collecting less than 30 mL over 24 hours so they took it out.The wide piece on the end with the holes in it was completely in my body. You can see the two stitches just below it where it exited my body. It served its purpose well.
I am waiting for fluids to slow down on my left side. It is now day 13 and I still have my left drain pinned to my button up shirt. We hang out together all the time and I would really like to cut the cord on this relationship. We'll see tomorrow, when my 4th or 5th different nurse comes to change my dressing. Did you know they have to leave their shoes on! I have carpet. Oh well.
