Today, Thursday May 15th at 4:30 pm I got my date for surgery. Hurray!
On Monday, May 26th will be my bilateral mastectomy surgery. My surgeons work out of UBC. On Friday they will let me know what time I need to be there. I will get tissue expanders put into a pocket cut in my pectoralis muscles. They will be filled with some saline and then the pocket is sewn shut. I am thrilled to get the tumors out of my body and move on with my treatment.
Radiation will be my next form of treatment for my cancer. It will start on June 11 with a tattooing session followed by a start date on June 23rd. After 5.5 weeks of daily treatment the bulk of treatment for me will be done.

I am trusting God as He works in your life, having faith that He does work all thing out for your good; even when circumstances are not what we want. Thank you for being vulnerable and honest. God's working in my heart through you. Take courage, the Lord has overcome everything and I can see that He is giving you His strength and hope. May 26th is on my ical, just to let you know.
