Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...

This bowl was presented to me by one of my students, Matthew Mohr, in my classroom on April 17th. His mother, Andrea, a talented quiltist (you really must see her handy work) and now ceramic artist designed and painted this beautiful bowl. The rain drops are created with a finger print of each student. The three frogs are the two wonderful teachers and Matthew.
It is a gorgeous bowl that will be cherished in my house for a long time to come. Thank you, I love it! I am honoured to receive such a bowl since our school will be auctioning off other beautiful bowls at the school fundraiser in one week.
This weekend I was learning to dance in the rain. I took off my cloak of motherhood and became a child again.
Logan and Anika were dancing up a storm at the Wiggles Concert and I joined in. Lately, I seem to care less about what others think and try to let myself make that moment special. Oh, I still get upset with my children whining and the slow progress of getting them to bed, but I am getting much better at taking life less seriously.
So if you see a strange lady with hardly any hair doing her physio exercises at the swimming pool - it's just a lady making good use of time.
