Here is my GREAT BC ADVENTURE story by date:
2003 a fibroadenoma was found in my left breast (coincidently where the large cancer is)October 9, 2007 yearly mammogram
October 22 follow up mammogram
October 29 biopsy (a hollow needle took 6 core samples)
November 2 I was told that I had a multicentric, grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma of the left breast with grade 3 ductal carcinoma in situ. The largest piece is about 4 cm long. My cancer is estrogen negative, progesterone receptor weakly positive and HER-2/neu positive. Most likely present in my lymph nodes also found some in neck lymph node.
November 2 chest x-ray and blood tests
November 2 patient conference-What should we do first? Maybe chemo? No surgery! No chemo November 13 MRI - an extremely loud experience
November 15 consultation with surgeon - strongly recommends chemotherapy
November 19 bone scan (no chunks of cancer in my bones)
November 19 body scan
November 21 chemo teaching session for 8 rounds every three weeks
November 23 CT scan of pelvis
November 26 MUGA test of heart function (good result)
November 26 blood work Nov.27 was my first session of chemotherapy 1/8
December 14 Genetic counseling session for genetic testing of the BRCA1/2 genes
December 17 blood work Dec. 18 was my 2/8 session of chemo
January 7 white cell count is still good Jan. 8 was my 3/8 round of chemo
January 28 blood work Jan. 29 chemo round 4/8
January 28 meet with my family doctor to go over my treatments
February 11 heart function test - my heart is working the same as before (63% which is normal) February 18 blood test and a visit with my oncologist
February 19 the start of 4 rounds with new drugs (the 4 hrs went quickly - no allergic reaction!) March 3 blood test (white count low but not so bad) chest x-ray (all is fine)
March 10 blood test and visit with oncologist March 11 is 6/8 round of chemo
March 12 learning how to inject myself with Filgrastim (helps my bones make white blood cells)
March 14 start injecting myself every other day with this new, expensive drug ($200/1mL)
March 25 head off to Emergency at Royal Columbia to figure out my fever....seems fine
March 31 blood test (normal!) and app. w/ oncologist
March 31 Appoinment with radiation oncologist - all depends on my choice of breast reconstruction surgery
April 1 was my 7th round of chemo and one more to go!
April 2 I start injecting myself in the thigh with Filgrastim with 6 more injections to go
April 8 Surgical oncologist went over my best options for me and suggested bilateral mastectomy with implants at the end of May
April 21 blood sucking and Dr. appointment April 22 chemo number 8! Hurray! I will feel better soon. My nails will grow back, my cuts will heal (on my fingers) and I will be running!
May 6th meet with Naturopath Physician to find out about detox before surgery
May 8th Plastic surgeon appointment (first one!)
May 9th Abdominal Ultra sound to see if chemo zapped the shadow they saw earlier
May 12th blood sucking again and mee with Dr. May 13th Chemo number 5 for one drug
Herceptin will be administered by needle for the next 48 weeks! Only a 45 minute sit down!
Surgery is next (4-6 week recovery)
radiation after that (every day for 5.5 weeks)
Surgery for reconstruction

I don't have the freezer yet. It appears to be a warehouse problem. The anticipation is just killing me.
